Window Installation

It's time to install the window. Set your alternate window to somehow open and center it in the opening. The bottom threshold should already be level, so you should be able to plumb the side of the window and wrap it in place. And you want the top of the window under the moisture barrier in the house so it stays on the top of the flange instead of the back of the window. This will prevent the water from flowing under the upper paralysis. Finish nailing your window according to the nailing schedule provided by Window Preparation. And cover both flanges of your flex shield with glittering vertical nail. You want to extend at least two inches from the head of the window to the bottom of the window and flax wrap seal under the window. You are ready to install the last flashing piece. You want to run this shiny piece under a moisture barrier so that it really sticks to the bare sheets of the house and the strip on the edges of the vertical glazing covers the glazed window. Now pull the moisture barrier over your shiny top and nail it. Remember that the glitter will automatically seal around the nails and the glitter moisture barrier will send some moisture back to the ground instead of your wall. Please visit
